The historic Herzogssaal, the core of which dates back to the early Middle Ages, is considered the most important secular building in Regensburg. Older than the Stone Bridge, and older in its tradition and history than the Old Town Hall, the Herzogssaal was used for meetings. In its function as a representation hall, the Herzogssaal is comparable to the Reichssaal in the Old Town Hall. Thanks to its pillarless construction, the Herzogssaal is suitable for events of all kinds.
